What’s better than a list of new features in your favourite video platform? The answer is: Absolutely nothing. Consider this our gift to you and your loved ones. Here’s everything new to play with in the Qbrick Video Platform.
Quick edit: an easy way to trim videos in your library
Editing in the Qbrick platform has always been both easy and fun. Thanks to our Adobe Express integration, you can open any media file, add text, graphics, animations, and more — then save it right back to your Qbrick library with a single click.
But what if all you need to do is trim a video? And what if that video happens to be several hours long and you’re on a time crunch? We’ve built the perfect shortcut for that.
Quick Edit is a new feature available to all user tiers. Just right-click on any media and select “Quick edit” — and you’re in. Whether your video is one minute or four hours long, the Quick Edit window pops up instantly, letting you set new in- and out-points in seconds. When you hit “save”, your trimmed video starts encoding right away while you continue working.
Here’s why you’ll love Quick Edit:
- Trim videos directly in your Qbrick library
- Skip long load times — it’s lightning-fast
- Works just as smoothly for short clips as for marathon-length videos
Give it a try today — and see just how fast “Quick” really is.
VAST Support: Bring Ads Straight Into Your Player
You asked, we listened! Our video player now supports VAST (Video Ad Serving Template) — the industry standard for delivering video ads. That means you can now serve pre-roll, mid-roll, or post-roll ads directly inside your Qbrick player, just like the big broadcasters do.
VAST is basically the common language that lets your player and your ad server talk to each other. So instead of manually embedding ad videos, you can plug in your ad tag and let the player do the heavy lifting — fetching, displaying, and tracking ads automatically.
It’s a simple way to monetize your content or promote your own campaigns, while still utilizing your Qbrick content and staying within the Qbrick infrastructure.
New Video Support Page
We know that sometimes the quickest way to learn is to see things in action. That’s why our support team has put together a brand-new Video Support Page, packed with short, informative videos that walk you through the ins and outs of the Qbrick platform — from uploading media to publishing your final masterpiece.
And here’s the fun part: the entire page is built using Qbrick Video Portals. So while you’re exploring the tutorials, you’re also seeing a live example of how easy it is to create a stylish, video-driven page of your own.
