Last time, we talked about the release of new Engagement Features in Qbrick Live Manager. And now, we are proud to present some well-needed updates to the Viewer Engagement module that will make your life much easier.
No chat? Just Q&A and Polls? No problem
The use cases for live streams are near endless. Some customers demand an open and lively chat, others want to keep the conversation limited to a few different topics. Some customers don’t have a need for viewer input at all. We’ve made sure to make our Engagement Module as flexible as possible, to fit every customer’s need.

While live streaming with Qbrick you can do the following forms of engagement with your viewers:
- Chat
- Q&A
- Polls
Chatting is exactly what it sounds like; an open chat for lively discussions that you can moderate from your Live Manager view.
Q&A is a feature where you can send out a request to receive questions from viewers. Only you as moderator can see these questions until you decide to either publish them in the Engagement Module, or answer them via text. If you decide to publish them, other viewers can vote on the question they like best.
Polls is a feature where you send out a question together with a few options for viewers to choose from. The results of these polls can then be published in the Engagement Module if you choose to do so.
Choose which features you want to use
With our latest release, you can now choose to use any of these features exclusively, while turning the others OFF.
In cases where you want your viewers to stop engaging altogether, you can also choose to turn off all incoming messages, or to turn off the Engagement Module completely.
Turning off incoming messages can be a good idea if you want to keep the chat history open after your live stream ends, but don’t want On Demand viewers to send new messages.
