Design your own portal
Design your very own portal by using our ready-made layouts and creating your own presets. Change everything from logos and brand colors to specific functionality and layouting – and then save all of that in a preset that everyone on your account can use.
So just to be clear:
A layout is a portal template made by us. Each layout has a specific purpose and look (for example: Video archive, podcast, web series). Depending on what layout you choose your setting options will change.
A preset is created by changing the look and branding of a layout and pressing “save”. When users on your account want to share videos using a portal, they can choose between the different presets that you’ve created.
At launch we will only have 1 layout available, but we’re planning to add additional layouts in the near future.
Brand logotype
Add your brands logotype in the header of your portal. If your company has several brands you can create different portal presets for all of them.
Brand colors
Style your portal preset according to your brand guide. Change the colors of the backgrounds, text, buttons and more.
Video player preset
In the Qbrick video platform you can have several different video player presets. You can choose which one you want to use in your portal.
"Initiate player on" - Grid or Media View
This setting allows you to change how playing a video works on your portal pages.
Initiate player on: Grid view means that clicking “play” on a video will send you to a separate page. That page will also feature the other videos in the same list underneath the video currently playing.
Initiate player on: Media view means that clicking “play” on a video will initiate the video on the same page you’re on.
Update all links in one go
If you need to adjust something in the branding or styling of all your portals – you simply have to go back to your preset settings and make those adjustments. As soon as you click “save”, all your portals will be updated immediately.
Launch your portal
Choose how you want to launch your portal.
You can copy a direct link to it to share on social media, in newsletters, in messages, on your website or wherever you want to share it. The link is short and easy to handle, featuring a thumbnail and the title of your portal.
You can also choose the iframe option to embed your portal onto a page on your website. This will allow you to choose your own URL and to keep your visitors on your main website.
Share a single media
Qbrick portals also works for sharing a single media to social media or in messages to clients and co-workers! Click on the media you want to share and choose the portal you want to use in the sharing section. All the perks of using a portal (design, automatic updates of presets, short URL) will be applied even here.
Beefing with your webmaster?
Ever heard this one: “You don’t have permission to link from this domain”? Or how about “We don’t support this method of embedding”?
