Workz is a Copenhagen-based change agency. They specialise in change management, leadership development, learning, and the design of game-based tools for involvement and training.
As a valuable part of this mission, they offer webinar training to company leaders in many different areas. In the past, they’ve used various meeting softwares, and one-to-one solutions – but found that it didn’t live up to their expectations. With Qbrick, they were able to host a live streamed event to a larger audience, with engagement features that aren’t available in other services – such as a moderated chat, polls and interactive elements within the video player.
We sat down with Edoardo Montenegro, senior consultant at Workz, to hear their story.
The Problem
Workz focus mainly on leadership training, strategy implementation, culture & values, and training & onboarding for employees and new hires. They do this through games & learning-through-play solutions.
Hosting webinars to spread expert knowledge is an important part of their business. Especially since the start of the global pandemic, when businesses all over the world started moving towards digital solutions. But using traditional meeting software, or 1-to-1 solutions, didn’t live up to their expectations – both in terms of quality & engagement.
The Solution
The team at Workz started working on a webinar focused on leadership between alignment and autonomy – this time using the Qbrick video platform & services by the Qbrick production team.
They now had access to engaging features that they previously didn’t have, such as a moderated chat, polls and interactive elements within the video player.
(..) When you move to a 1-to-many solution such as Qbrick, you see the benefit. It’s really a different world.
Edoardo moved on to explain that it was interesting to work with skilled professionals, who were able to create the high-quality event that they had envisioned. The engagement features within the Qbrick video platform also elevated their material, and created a more engaging experience for their audience.
When you deliver a hybrid event, you want to create engagement and you also want to learn. Using Qbrick allowed us to make our participants really engaged.
Results
The webinar was a roaring success for the team, who noticed positive feedback internally as well as externally from webinar participants. Edoardo noted that the team felt very enthusiastic about the results, and commented: “I remember, for instance, one participant who said that usually it takes one page of notes while attending a webinar and this time it was three pages of notes and many contacts.”
By the end of the event, the chat was overflowing with interesting discussions, questions & positive feedback for the team.
You need a solution for broadcasting, which has specific, engaging features for your participants. (..) And why not work with the best people out there?
We appreciated Edoardo taking the time out of his busy schedule to talk to us, and to inspire other professionals out there who are looking to create similar events. We especially want to highlight his words on hybrid events and how your goal should be to engage your participants. They truly achieved their goal with this event.
Thank you to the team over at Workz, and a special thanks to Edoardo.
